Champ von Cuxhaven is a beautiful 2 year old German Shepherd. Champ is close to the perfect dog, and we aren't kidding. Handsome and kind, gentle and sweet. He arrived at our kennel on a chaotic Saturday adoption day and quietly hung out in his rescuer's SUV, surveying all the dogs, people and children milling about, never making a peep or scratching to get out. After a while he jumped out and just mingled as if he was meant to be the life of the party. Champ has all the looks and attributes of a classic German Shepherd. Most shepherds love children and Champ is no exception. His foster dad says Champ protects "his house" by checking out anyone who comes to the front door. One of his favorite pastimes is playing with other dogs so Champ needs a forever home where he will have some canine friends and, ideally, an experienced shepherd owner.
